PROJECTS
Feeling, Not Explaining
Not every truth needs to be spoken. Some are better felt.
In this personal series, I stepped away from structured narration and heavy research commentary to explore a more instinctive form of storytelling—editing as emotional alignment. These short tribute films are cinematic montages—mashups of footage and sound that express the civilizational pain, pride, resistance, and spirit of Bharat.
The Alchemy of Alignment
Each piece began with a feeling—a pulse of reverence, frustration, or longing. I would find a song that matched this emotional core (sometimes a modern track like Coldplay, sometimes a traditional chant), and then begin gathering footage. The footage might be from archival material, historical sites, temple processions, or even wildlife—but the real magic wasn’t in the material. It was in the alignment of subtexts.
The subtext of the music. The subtext of the visual. The subtext of the idea or conflict
When these three align, the result is often inexplicably moving. A monkey walking through a ruined site might suddenly feel like a metaphor for forgotten wisdom. A burst of music might unlock a centuries-old cry of resilience. Editing becomes more than craft—it becomes storytelling by sensation.
A Quiet Tribute
These videos are my tribute to the many unnamed, unsalaried workers of the Indic Renaissance—those who labor in silence, whose efforts don’t go viral, but who are carrying Bharat forward in real ways. These edits are a cinematic offering to that spirit. A way to express gratitude, solidarity, and sacred defiance without a single spoken line.
These are not documentaries. They are feelings, set to music. They are the pulse of a civilization, told in rhythm and cut.
